1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
1/8 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
2 c. pecans
2 T. butter or margarine
Place buttermilk, sugar, salt, and baking soda in heavy sauce pan. Cook until mixture spins a thread when dropped from a spoon. Add pecans and butter and bring to boil. Boil about 3 minutes and remove from heat. Stir until mixture is creamy. Drop from teaspoon on waxed paper. Let cool. Store in box or candy jar.
