4 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
2/3 c. water
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
3 t. vanilla
1 c. nuts
Cook salt, sugar, syrup, and water over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches 270 degrees. Pour syrup mixture over egg whites slowly, beating constantly until mixture begins to pull from sides of bowl. Add vanilla and nuts. Beat until mixture begins to set. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper on cookie sheet.
