Ingredients:

1 pk yeast
1 T sugar
2 T warm water
1 c scalded milk
1/2 c butter
1/2 c sugar
1 t salt
2 eggs
4 c flour
Directions:
  1. Combine yeast, 1 T sugar, and 2 T warm water and let it sit for 10-15 min.

  2. Stir in 1/2 c butter and 1/2 c milk to scalded milk and let the milk cool until it is luke warm.

  3. Add the two eggs, well beaten, to the milk mixture.

  4. Combine yeast mix with milk mixture.

  5. Add 1 t salt and 2 c flour. Beat thoroughly with mixer.

  6. Add 2 more c of flour.

  7. Beat for five minutes.

  8. DO NOT KNEAD!!

  9. Place in a large bowl and top with shortening.

  10. Raise until double.

  11. Turn out on floured board and knead for 1 min.

  12. Roll out and spread 1 c butter and a 1/2 sugar and cinnamon mix.

  13. Roll up and slice 3/4" to 1" thick.

  14. Put on greased cookie sheet.

  15. Let raise until double in size.

  16. Bake at 375 for 20-25 min.
